One day, in 2003, while Howie was sitting at home enjoying his retirement, his son stopped by with a proposition… let’s buy a location on South Mooney Boulevard, that has a long history of serving pizza to the community and begin our own family adventures in pizza. Howie was all in, as long as he could be the one behind the bar slinging beers and swapping stories with anyone that sat at his bar. On May 1, 2003, Howie & Son’s Pizza Parlor was born. Howie & Son’s has been making pizza the same way since the first day they opened – using secret recipes for their homemade crust, signature sauces, Howie’s Famous Potatoes, crispy fried chicken, and a genuine love for the people of Visalia.
